Njokuani was the more efficient and effective man in his clash with Rhys McKee, using calf kicks at range mixed with short elbows and knees in the clinch to get the better of things throughout the 15 minute affair. He was able to neutralize the Northern Irishman’s takedown attempts, and even flashed a level-change of his own at one point in the third, looking comfortable in his first trip down to welterweight in more than six years.

“The Monster” hurt Algeo early in the contest, landing a big right hand that shook the equilibrium of the local favorite. While Algeo got his composure back, Nelson continued to land the bigger shots throughout the contest, and late in the round, he once again put Algeo on shaky footing. As the follow-ups came raining down and Algeo staggered around the cage, referee Gary Copeland stepped in and halted the action.

Ruziboev was picking his shots well in the early stages of his clash with Sedriques Dumas, keeping the Dana White’s Contender Series grad at range and landing at a good clip. Midway through the round, the two pawed at each other, with Dumas turning away and looking at the referee for a stoppage, complaining of being poked in the eye.

But the official hadn’t seen the foul, the fight continued, and Ruziboev pressed forward, pounding out the finish. After a strong first round from Weidman, things got closer in the second, with Weidman being cautioned for an eye poke. The pair were warned later in the bout after they poked each other simultaneously, and then early in the third, Silva charged forward and Weidman’s extended fingers caught him in both eyes. The Brazilian dropped the canvas and the former middleweight champion pounced, swarming for the finish.

This was a competitive, entertaining fight and a good effort for the 39-year-old Weidman, who registered his first win since August 2020, and gets back into the win column for the first time since his horrific leg injury against Uriah Hall at UFC 261 | Official Scorecards

The welterweights ran relatively level in the opening stanza, Buckley moving more and throwing explosive offense while the Brazilian stayed technical and picked his spots. Early in the second, Luque looked for a takedown, and after getting stuffed, opted to pull guard. The decision proved costly, as Buckley steadied himself in top position and unloaded, forcing the stoppage with a barrage of unanswered blows.

Buckley had a solid run at middleweight highlighted by his viral knockout win over Impa Kasanganay, but he’s now 3-0 since moving down to the 170-pound ranks, and should find himself positioned in the Top 15 when the rankings update next week. | Official Scorecards

“The Beast” leaned on her counter-striking and superior physicality, picking apart the New Jersey native as she looked to crash in and shucking her off with ease whenever Blanchfield tried to wrap her up. While the American threatened with a guillotine early in the fight and had a couple moments on the feet in the championship rounds, it was never enough to really threaten Fiorot and shift the momentum in the fight.

Fiorot held up well on the conditioning front over the distance, and earned the unanimous decision win, extending her overall winning streak to a dozen and establishing herself as the clear No. 1 contender in the 125-pound weight class. | Official Scorecards
