Check Out The Latest News And Updates For UFC 5, As Real As It Gets
The largest EA Sports UFC 5 content update is here! Starting off with a new Alter Egos bundle that will serve as a continuation to the Champions collection; Champions: Volume II will contain Alter Egos of three former UFC champions from career-defining fights. Starting with UFC middleweight champion, Chris Weidman, who successfully defended his title against Vitor Belfort at UFC 187 with a first round TKO. After previously defeating Yoel Romero for the interim middleweight title, Robert Whittaker would once again face the “Soldier of God” at UFC 225. In a five-round brawl, it would be Whittaker coming out on top with a split decision victory in a bout that was preceded with controversy.
Ahead of his upcoming UFC BMF title fight at UFC 300, Max Holloway has long been an icon in UFC, which is evident when looking back to his UFC 231 performance against Brian Ortega. Holloway would outclass Ortega over the course of four rounds, securing the victory via doctor’s stoppage to etch another title defense to his resume. As an added bonus, following his dominant victory over Marlon “Chito” Vera at UFC 299, an Alter Ego of Sean O’Malley in his signature pink Venum shorts will be available via the Fight Week Challenges.
Also part of the content update is the largest fighter drop to date (for any UFC game), with nine new active roster fighters getting added to UFC 5. The addition of nine new fighters brings the in-game experience closer to real life and continues to build out the ever-evolving weight classes. Keep your eyes on the Octagon the next couple of weeks to catch a few new fighters in action, such as middleweight contender, Brendan Allen, who headlines the UFC Apex, as well as Diego Lopes and Marina Rodriguez, who are each competing at UFC 300.
